Zue, that is one HUGE winter squash. How are you going to finish it? I guess you have to make muffins, cakes, bread etc with it :)
Gert, could last for 2 years. Yes, this labu should taste good in cake, muffin or bread. I think for pie is also nice.
Zue, winter squash ni sama ke dgn pumpkin? maaflah yer tapi i ni memang tak tau. been wanting to make pumpkin masak lemak tapi tak jumpa pumpkin yg sesuai. shud i get the winter squash?
Farina, I am glad you asked. Don't buy this giant squash or pumpkin if you want to cook lemak labu. But buy the kabocha squash. It is shape like a turban. Sometimes you get extra tombol at the top. The kabocha squash will taste good as lemak labu. The giant squash in this picture only good if I cook as sweet things like pengat, cake, muffin or pie.
Thanks for the tip Zue. Nanti I cari kabocha squash. kena write the name down or else memang tak ingat. hehe.
